Mark C. Marino is a Ph.D. from UC Riverside, studying chatbots, electronic literature, games, and other new media. His work integrates sociological research with critical theory, drawing particularly upon gender studies, theories of racial formation, and actor network theory.
He is editor of Bunk Magazine, an online humor magazine. He began his work in literary hypertext, studying under George Landow at Brown. Since then, he earned an MFA from Notre Dame and an MA at Loyola Marymount University. He currently teaches at the University of Southern California.
